What is a Personal Trainer?

A Personal trainer is a fitness professional who is hired for private instruction, one-on-one or in small groups. They will help you to maintain a healthy physical condition by designing an effective and safe exercise plan for you. A personal trainer can also offer advice on nutrition, and can develop healthy meal plans for you to help improve your eating habits. They should also be registered with a professional fitness body, such as the Register of Exercise Professionals in the UK, with whom I am registered (membership No. R0025844). Stress Relief & Toning

Yoga:

Yoga meditation A recently sponsored study by ACE (American Council of Exercise) showed that Hatha Yoga or Asthanga Yoga (power Yoga) practised over 8 weeks three times per week increases significantly flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, balance and improves relaxation.

Ideal for people who have hectic lifestyles or who after a longer period of inactivity want to get back into a workout routine and want to strengthen their body gently. Can also be tailored to ante and postnatal clients.

Core Stability / Torso Training

Pilates:

Pilates focuses on developing strength of the torso through appropriate use of the spinal muscles which act as stabilisers and create support for the spine.

Ideal for those who suffer from back ache, sore neck or strained muscles due to bad posture or as a result of injury. Also beneficial for people with arthritis.

Fitball Training

It's a safe, non-impact workout which is suitable for all levels of fitness and age groups.

Circuit Training

Only little equipment and space is needed to have fun and see results in a short time. Suitable for any fitness level and age.

Circuit classes in gyms or fitness centres are aimed to improve general fitness. However, the advantage of working with a personal trainer is that circuit training can be tailored to your own specific needs, in order to improve certain components of fitness and performance.

Nutrition and Weight Management

It will also help you achieve either weight loss or weight gain through a balanced nutrition intake and lifestyle. Ideal for those who are yo-yo dieters and finally want to find a balanced nutrition.
